As you know, Stephane Waite went on 98.5 last night and made several seductive and/or surprising comments, including some about Phillip Danault.

Waite also took advantage of his presence on the airwaves to clarify some facts about Jesperi Kotkaniemi, who left Montreal for Carolina thanks to a too generous hostile offer last Saturday. According to the former Canadiens' goaltending coach, "KK" was a (somewhat?) arrogant young man.

He also cited an example to support his statement. During a speech/coaching session with Claude Julien, the young Finn, who was 19 at the time, rolled his eyes and said, "What does he know?" Waite said that "KK" had that little arrogance of the guy who knows everything and knows everything, even though he's only 21.

His time in the minors in 2019-20 was good for him, it allowed him to grow as a player and as a human being. It was good for his ego, according to Waite himself. However, during the last schedule, old habits have resurfaced...

All in all, maybe Kotkaniemi will understand and adjust as he gets older, but right now, the Montreal Canadiens are a better team with Christian Dvorak. A guy with the CH attitude, with character, a very professional guy, who shows up at all times, in short a true professional.
