When he joined the Habs in 2017, Jonathan Drouin did not hesitate to get involved in the community. In addition to making a personal donation of $500,000 and a commitment to raise $5 million for the Fondation du CHUM, the Quebecer purchased a box at the Bell Centre at an annual cost of $165,000 to allow underprivileged or special needs youth to attend games.
Even though he is currently out of the lineup due to wrist surgery, the CH number 92 continues to be involved. He was in his dressing room last Friday to put a smile on the faces of the youngsters, most of whom were attending their first game at the Bell Centre.
Despite the criticism directed at him since his arrival with the club for his prowess on the ice, we can in no way criticize his involvement with the community. He continues his involvement far from the cameras, for the pleasure of the youth.
Well done, Jo!
