As the name of Guy Lafleur resounds in our hearts, and the day after a wonderful evening to pay tribute to him, we wanted to come back on a publication of the Canadiens' Quebec forward Jonathan Drouin.
Last night, Drouin expressed his sadness via his Instagram account and paid a heartfelt tribute to his role model, Guy Lafleur :
"Tonight is a very special night in honor of Guy . He always took the time to be there for me at multiple events. A man with a big heart, always in a good mood and ready to help. Thank you for being an example for me off and on the ice. It is because of you that I am so involved in the Montreal community. You have paved the way for many. Thank you. Rest in peace and my sincere condolences to his family and friends. #guyguyguy"
Drouin, who has been out for a few weeks with (another) unfortunate wrist injury, has had some tough episodes recently and it's so nice to see (though not surprising) that the great Guy Lafleur always took the time to be there for Jonathan.
Another proof of the greatness of the man, his willingness and generosity. A man who gave back so much.
