In an extremely brave move, goaltender Carey Price has agreed to open up about the real reason he entered the National Hockey League's 2021 player assistance program.

In an article published today by Arpon Basu, Price goes into a truly touching testimony to talk about alcoholism. For the details and for Captain Nick Suzuki's reaction, it's here:

There is also the forward Jonathan Drouin, who was also absent from the Montreal Canadiens' entourage for a while in 2021, for personal reasons, and who was asked about Carey's testimony.

See what he had to say:

Jonathan Drouin on Carey Price opening up about dealing with alcoholism: "It must have been hard for him to go through that and I'm sure he had the support of his family, and as soon as we found out, we were obviously very supportive..."

And he adds this:

Jonathan Drouin on Price: "...we made sure we were always in touch with him, and he was in a good mood and he was going in the right direction, so today we're happy when we see Carey; he looks good now and in a good frame of mind, and we're super happy to see that."

Great comments from the Quebec forward, and it's beautiful to see how much the players support each other. It's definitely going to inspire a lot of people.
