Since the 2019-2020 season, Jonathan Drouin has been kept out of the game more often than not. Limited to just 34 games last year, #92 still looked good with a 20-point performance.
But the good news is that he has recovered from his wrist injury and should be back in the lineup for the start of the team's training camp in September.
However, as Charles-Alexis Brisebois of Danslescoulisses.com reports, Drouin will have to get used to the fact that his wrist isn't what it used to be, and he'll have to deal with that new reality on a daily basis.
"I don't think my wrist will ever be like it was, it's part of the business, it's part of the sport we play."
Because of the feeling in the wrist and the fact that the injuries have had long-term effects, Drouin knows that he must get used to working differently. On the other hand, he mentioned a few days ago that he feels good and that he will be at his position in training camp.
As we know, the upcoming season is one of truth for the Quebec forward who will be in his last year of a contract signed in the summer of 2017 when he was acquired from the Tampa Bay Lightning in return for defenseman Mikhail Sergachev.
While all eyes of Habs fans will be on Juraj Slafkovsky, Drouin is extremely feverish at the idea of playing under Martin St-Louis and it's a safe bet that he'll want to have a strong start to the season and especially try to avoid the infirmary.
One thing is for sure, we can't wait to see the talented Quebec winger in action.
