In a press conference in the last few minutes, Tampa Bay Lightning GM Julien BriseBoise revealed the list of injured players on his team and it is very long:
- Brayden Point is suffering from a major quadricep tear.
- Pierre-Edouard Bellemare started the playoffs with a meniscus injury.
- Anthony Cirelli has a separated shoulder and will require surgery.
- Ryan McDonagh has a significant finger injury after blocking a shot.
- Nikita Kucherov is suffering from a meniscus injury.
- Brandon Hagel broke his foot during the series against the Panthers.
- Nick Paul has a separated shoulder and a sprained knee.
- Corey Perry has a separated shoulder.
As Marco Normandin reports, it's a list that's getting a huge reaction, and one that some believe may explain a lot.
In any case, we must have respect for these players, who suffered and gave everything to offer us a good show and to try to win another Stanley Cup.
