It quickly made the rounds on the web and fans got excited.
Slafkovsky corrects the record.
When asked about it in a press briefing in the last few hours, the younger Slafkovsky quickly denied the information.
It's not accurate and he's still not on the first power play.
That's because earlier today, Martin St-Louis put Arber Xhekaj on a power play wave, along with Cole Caufield, Nick Suzuki, Kirby Dach and Juraj Slafkovsky.
There was a lot of buzz at the time.
However, we later learned that it wasn't a power play drill, but a penalty kill drill (so the players on the five-man attack didn't matter, they were only used to practice the PK)
With his recent performances, it wouldn't be surprising to actually hear that Juraj Slafkovsky is (finally) getting his chance on the first wave of the power play, but it's not happening anytime soon, unfortunately for fans.
Do you think Slafkovsky would earn his spot on the Habs' PP1?
Despite scoring three goals in his last five contests, the young first overall pick has to wait.
