According to the information obtained by former Habs scout Grant McCagg, the Montreal Canadiens' prospect, Kaiden Guhle, would not have been selected by the Canadian team for the Olympic Games in Beijing.
Still according to McCagg, it would not be because Guhle has a contract to enter the NHL. Mason McTavish will most likely get the chance to represent his country, even though he has an ELC with the Ducks. The Canadian team would have simply decided to pass on Guhle.
McCagg also added that Canada made a huge mistake in not selecting the left-handed defenseman.
It must be a big disappointment for the 20-year-old.
Remember that he was considered to go to China next month, according to several rumors. Unfortunately, it will be a postponement for this one...
