According to TVA Sports, Patrick Roy's luxury home in Lac-Beauport, in the Quebec City area, has been sold for $5,775,000.
The former CH star has just started the rumor mill considerably with this sale. However, the Remparts' head coach would have bought himself a condo in downtown Quebec City.
Remember that Roy was recently considered for the position of general manager for the Montreal Canadiens, before the hiring of Kent Hughes.
Many rumors suggested that Roy could take Dominique Ducharme's place at the end of the current season. However, there are two more seasons left on the head coach's contract, after the 2021-2022 season.
We're talking! Would Roy have bought a condo, which will probably cost less than a house, because he plans to move to another place eventually?
After all, even if Kent Hughes mentioned that Dom Ducharme would remain in charge of the bench for the time being, the coach's position is far from being guaranteed. The new management could decide to choose their own head coach during the off-season.
Could Roy be considered? Fans would be thrilled, that's for sure.
