On the BPM Sports airwaves today, Tony Marinaro believes he has identified the first mistake, the first misstep of Kent Hughes.

He's talking about the signing of a $3.85 million per year contract, for two seasons, with veteran goaltender Jake Allen. (a total of $7.7 million)

See his explanations.

"Jake Allen's contract, Kent Hughes' first misstep? In any case, Tony Marinaro thinks it's detrimental to Cayden Primeau's development and that he absolutely must be traded." - BPM Sports

"It's starting to become obvious, pretty obvious, that if Kent Hughes could have back the contract he gave to Jake Allen in October 2022, he would do it, because in my opinion, every game Allen plays is detrimental to the development of Cayden Primeau." - Tony Marinaro

He adds that being in a rebuild, the CH should go with the two younger goalies (Primeau and Montembeault).

He would even be willing to trade Jake Allen, retaining 50% of his salary, to be able to play Primeau more.

Do you agree with him?.
