According to JiC Lajoie, Dominique Ducharme will be fired soon because of the club's inevitable setbacks. It's sad, but Ducharme was unable to get a commitment from his foals, which will have driven him out of Montreal.

So it's no coincidence that Luke Richardson showed up in front of the media this morning... Dom Ducharme was probably in a meeting with the two-headed monster, Jeff Gorton and Kent Hughes.

Last July, Ducharme signed a three-year deal after taking over from Claude Julien on February 24, 2021. The Quebecer will not even have served one year at the helm of the team.

The absences of Shea Weber, Carey Price, Joel Edmundson as well as the departures of Corey Perry and Phillip Danault have destroyed the leadership of this club. In one fell swoop, the Habs' strength became their weakness #leadership.

Bring in a Bob Hartley or a Patrick Roy and you'll see that the commitment will change drastically since they have a "grip" that Ducharme doesn't have. Without taking anything away from him. Ducharme doesn't have the presence, in my opinion, to compensate for this huge lack of leadership.
