At a press conference earlier today, Montreal Canadiens head coach Martin St-Louis announced some great news.

Joel Armia and Joel Edmundson will accompany the team on the road for the upcoming four-game road trip and are close to a return to action.

They were still wearing non-contact jerseys this morning, but clearly they are making great progress and could be back in action as early as this week. We love it!

This good news comes with a big decision to make for General Manager Kent Hughes.

Once Edmundson is back in the lineup, look at the left-handed defensemen that will be active:

- Kaiden Guhle
- Jordan Harris
- Arber Xhekaj
- Joel Edmundson
- And we will soon have to add Mike Matheson to the mix.

Clearly, there is a surplus at this position and at this point, it's almost impossible to get Guhle, Harris or Xhekaj out of the lineup.

Kent Hughes is about to have to make a big decision.

It will be interesting to watch and it will shake things up.

And that's not counting the surplus on offense, with Armia's imminent return. Sooner or later, players will have to be dealt.

What would you do if that was your decision?
