In the last few seconds, Sportsnet's Jeff Marek has just revealed an important piece of information regarding a probable trade involving Shane Wright.
He would finally be traded:
"Marek, at intermission, says Shane Wright would be traded to the London Knights, and Olen Zellweger could also be traded (from Everett to Kamloops). Big returns ahead. [...]" - NHL Watcher Wright would then join Logan Mailloux with the London Knights. Interesting.
Expect the deal to be officially announced before the deadline (obviously).
According to Marek, the price to pay for Wright was a quality player born in 2005 or 2006, possibly both, plus three second round picks, and also three third round picks.
So the return should look something like this. More details to come!
Wright, 19, has 4 goals in 5 games this season in the AHL, and 2 points in 8 games in the NHL (not to mention his 7 points in 7 games at the World Junior Hockey Championship).
