For the past few days, many trade rumors involving young Alexis Lafrenière have been circulating in the media and on social networks, and it is important to trust the reputable informants in this file, in order to have the most accurate and reliable information possible.
Moreover, no need to tell you that many of these speculations involve Lafreniere and the Montreal Canadiens.
Over the last few days, Pierre LeBrun has been reporting on the situation and has given some important information.
"LeBrun, on Insider Trading, says that teams checked with the Rangers last week about Alexis Lafreniere on the trade market, but the Rangers told those teams that they still believe in him and they said the same thing to Lafreniere himself, they hope it will be a good "reset" for him." - NHL Watcher, via Pierre LeBrun
LeBrun adds that some teams have been seriously inquiring about possibly acquiring Lafreniere via trade, but the Rangers do not want to actively trade him. They want to be patient.
We have good reason to believe that Kent Hughes (Montreal Canadiens) is one of those teams that have made serious inquiries to the Rangers for the Quebec forward.
A file to follow!
Lafreniere, 21, has 17 points in 39 games this season. He was drafted first overall in 2020.
