Lou Lamoriello offered a deal to one of his "boys", Zach Parise, who will report to the New York Islanders training camp. I remind you that it is with amazement that Parise saw his contract bought out by the Minnesota Wild last July 13, at the same time as his comrade Ryan Suter.
According to Michael Russo of The Atheltic, the 37-year-old winger was expected to be traded somewhere this summer to the New York Islanders. The pact has yet to be approved by the National Hockey League, but all indications are that the former New Jersey Devils captain will join the team that selected him in the 2003 auction.
Parise will bring a ton of experience to the Islanders' roster, as he has always worn a letter on his jersey. He was named an assistant when he joined the Minnesota Wild. Parise has 810 career points, including 393 goals, in 1060 games. He also has 105 playoff games in which he has scored 80 points.
