In the last few seconds, the Montreal Canadiens organization announced some big news regarding defenseman Mike Matheson:
"Defenseman Mike Matheson has remained in Montreal for a medical follow-up. He will be out indefinitely with a lower body injury." - Montreal Canadiens
Beyond the fact that we learn here that Matheson has stayed in Montreal and will miss the next few games, the major news here is mainly to learn that he will be out indefinitely.
It smells like a long-term absence for Matheson, and that's bad news for the Montreal Canadiens.
We're not likely to see him back in uniform anytime soon. Ouch.
More details to follow!
