In the last few seconds, the Toronto Maple Leafs announced that they had completed a trade with the Colorado Avalanche:
TRADE
To the Leafs:
- Dryden Hunt (LW)
To the Avalanche:
- Denis Malgin (C/W)
As we mentioned at the beginning of the day, we can expect an eventful day in the NHL due to the trade freeze that will take effect at midnight tonight.
The Leafs and Avs have just started the ball rolling.
Malgin, 25, is a 5-foot-9 Swiss who has 30 goals and 64 points in his NHL career. He led the AHL (26 points in 28 games) and the Swiss National A League (94 points in 93 games).
Hunt, 27, has 42 points in 193 games.
