The story of Arber Xhekaj is incredible, to say the least. The latter, who was never drafted by an NHL team, is now a fan favorite in Montreal. Even better, in his first season with the CH, the 22-year-old defenseman is currently the club's leading scorer among defensemen but also the one who has accumulated the most penalty minutes in the league.

As Elliotte Friedman mentioned in a recent edition of 32 Thoughts, the Xhekaj family could be in for another great story in the coming months. Indeed, after seeing Arber's journey, it would now be the turn of his little brother, Florian, to come under the spotlight.

"Arber Xhekaj's younger brother, Florian, is getting attention in the OHL with Hamilton. Draft guru Sam Cosentino thinks he will be selected in June."

Wow that would be quite a turnaround for him and we wish him so much. Imagine if the Montreal Canadiens drafted him late in the draft, if he was available at the right spot. Would you like that?

The 18 year old forward, who will turn 19 on June 27th, is currently playing in the OHL with the Hamilton Bulldogs. In his first season in the Ontario league, he scored 8 goals and 8 assists for a total of 16 points in 48 games.

As Alexandre Desrosiers of RDT reminds us, Florian looks just like his brother. At 6-foot-2 and 185 pounds, he has the same toughness as Arber in addition to his pugilistic skill.

According to Eliteprospects, Florian is ranked 103rd in the North American skater rankings.

With a little luck, he could very well hear his name in the 224 selections scheduled for June 28 and 29, the day after his birthday!
