For the past few days, trade rumours involving forward Pierre-Luc Dubois have been growing.
Remember that Dubois recently revealed his intentions to his general manager and it is clearly not what Jets fans wanted. In fact, he intends to become a free agent in 2024. (He will be free as a bird and will have the opportunity to sign with the team of his choice, in two years)
It's rare that we see this, but he actually announced his colors early.
Hidden trade request? It's possible, because clearly, the Jets won't want to keep a player who intends to leave for two long years. Plus, they won't want to lose him "for nothing" via free agents.
A trade seems inevitable and it should happen sooner rather than later.
THERE IS NEWS
Well, on this very subject, journalist François Gagnon (RDS) has just published some very interesting information:
"By the way, according to information obtained during the final, the #New York Rangers would be more than interested in acquiring Pierre-Luc Dubois. Negotiations underway with the #Jets on the parameters of a transaction. It's not a done deal, but Chris Drury is very interested." - François Gagnon
So negotiations would already be underway, wow! Would you be disappointed if he was traded to the Rangers? Would you like Kent Hughes to bring Dubois to Montreal? What kind of offer would you make?
This will be a very interesting file to watch!
