Montreal Canadiens prospect Jesse Ylonen had recently refused to be vaccinated against COVID-19. However, everything indicates that he was convinced, as he finally decided to receive his doses of vaccine according to a Finnish media.
Ylonen told a Finnish media this afternoon. According to him, he would not have received any pressure from the Canadiens. It would be his personal decision.
"I looked at all the options with the Canadiens. I wasn't pressured, the decision was mine." - Jesse Ylonen
If the 21-year-old hadn't changed his mind, the next campaign would have been a blur for him. He probably wouldn't have been able to play the Laval Rocket games in the United States. He probably took the future of his career into consideration. He is far from having completed his hockey development, so not playing regularly could have greatly affected his game.
