While on JiC on Wednesday, informant Renaud Lavoie revealed some crisp information about the situation of the now former Montreal Canadiens GM, Marc Bergevin.
Among other things, Lavoie reported that Marc Bergevin had five offers on the table when he joined the Kings, three of which were considered «serious».
Lavoie also provided some clarification on Bergevin's position with his new team. This one is, as mentioned, senior advisor to Rob Blake until the end of this season.
This means that he could leave at the end of the campaign if he ever received an offer to fill a position as general manager elsewhere in the league. In that case, of course, he would have the option of retaining that role with the Kings, or of going up in the organization.
