According to multiple sources, Mario Lemieux is close to selling the Pittsburgh Penguins to Fenway Sports Group.
According to Sportico, the value of the Pittsburgh Penguins would be around $845 million, the 15th highest value on the market in the NHL.
According to other information, when the sale is official, Lemieux would keep a small share of the franchise. Remember that Mario Lemieux has owned the Pennsylvania team since 1999.
