With only a few hours to go before their scheduled showdown with the Montreal Canadiens, the Winnipeg Jets had a date last night with the Sens (in Ottawa) and it left its mark.
Forward Mark Scheifele, who was going to play at the Bell Centre in front of the Montreal fans, will not be in today's game.
He retreated to his team's locker room in pain yesterday and never returned to the game.
The cause: a good check from Parker Kelly.
Result : Scheifele is injured and will not play against the CH tonight. (Unfortunately or fortunately, you be the judge...)
