At a press conference earlier today, it was the turn of Montreal Canadiens head coach Martin St-Louis to break his silence on the subject of Pierre Gervais' big statements in his new book.
A new book that has caused a huge reaction, so much so that it even made its way into the Montreal Canadiens' dressing room.
See what Martin St-Louis had to say on the subject :
Question:
In your opinion, did (Pierre Gervais) break a bit of an unwritten law, like what happens in the locker room stays in the locker room?
MSL Answer:
That's Gerv, and the book is Gerv's perception. Everybody has different perceptions, and you know, when you write a book, it's your own perception.
So this is what he thought. Does that mean it's the whole truth, I don't think so, because it's his perception, but he's got a lot of experience in the NHL, so (to have) an inside look like that, for sure a lot of people are going to read (the book) because they're going to be curious, you know, and are these things that everybody is going to like (reading)? I wouldn't think so, but that's the perception at Gerv, it's not the perception of the Montreal Canadiens.
Question:
Should he have kept it inside the locker room, in your opinion?
MSL Answer:
That's Gerv's choice, that.
Really interesting. One thing for sure, this is a book that continues to generate a lot of response.
