We are witnessing the awakening of Cole Caufield and, some young players of the team even surprised St-Louis by their involvement and their intensity.
The new coach praised the work of two young players after Sunday's meeting against the Sabres : forward Ryan Poehling and defenseman Corey Schueneman.
In the latter's case, it was his third game in three nights, as he was recalled from the Laval Rocket following Ben Chiarot's injury and St. Louis even told his assistant, Luke Richardson , to trust him for the whole game and he even made a superb pass on Mike Hoffman's goal.
As for Poehling, St-Louis underlined his excellent work and his contribution in offense, he recorded three assists in his last four games, and Poehling's style of play will be very useful in his philosophy. - St. Louis

Sportsnet analyst Eric Engels also mentioned that one of the strengths in Poehling's game is his hockey sense and that he will be a great asset in the style of play that St. Louis wants to establish with the Canadian.
