Matthew Tkachuk, Jeff Petry, and Quinn Hughes have just been linked to some prospects in the Habs organization as comparables
It is certainly one of the most frequently asked questions when discussing promising young players.
What is their style? Which current NHL player can they be compared to? If they reach their full potential, which current NHL player will they resemble on the ice?
In the past few hours, an observer made a very interesting publication to answer this question, specifically regarding the top prospects of the Montreal Canadiens.
Here is the verdict:
Interesting!
In our humble opinion, the best comparisons here are for Hutson and Reinbacher. They hit the nail on the head.
Hutson really reminds me of Quinn Hughes, but perhaps a bit more creative and slightly less skilled in skating.
Reinbacher and Seider have often been compared, so that's not a big surprise here.
I don't dislike the parallel drawn between Guhle and Slavin, although I believe Kaiden may have more offensive elements in his game compared to the very solid Hurricanes defenseman.
As for the comparison between Mailloux and Petry, it is likely to spark discussion, as well as the one between Slafkovsky and Tkachuk.
What do you think about it?
