While many are certain that the CH will draft Shayne Wright with their first pick in the next draft, others are leaning more towards the young Slovakian Juraj Slafkovsky.
Maxim Lapierre found a solution to close the debate as he wants Kent Hughes to get the second overall pick in a mega trade.
"I know it's going to be complicated, but the team also has a late first round pick (the 26th) and an early second round pick. Trade that and some veterans to the New Jersey Devils, who already have a lot of youth, make a big deal and we won't go wrong. If we have picks 1 and 2 and we make a mistake, then there's a big problem."
"You have material to complete a transaction, so why not try? You offer any player to the Devils besides Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield and Alexander Romanov to get the second overall pick." - Maxim Lapierre The Curve Ball team also had this idea. It recently proposed four trades in order to get this valuable pick and thus the services of Wright and Slafkovsky. See their proposals here.
