Over the past few hours, many Calgary Flames players and staff have been praising not only the player, but also the extraordinary human being that is Sean Monahan.
In a media scrum in the last few minutes, we had a great example of how down to earth, grateful and extremely humble Monahan is.
Simply asked if he had a message for Flames fans, Monahan tried his best not to burst into tears. You can easily feel his emotion and deep sincerity.
It's almost unheard of for a player to feel so much emotion towards a fan base.
It's frankly beautiful to see how important the fans are to him. A real one:
We imagine that it will be the same for the Montreal Canadiens fans.
