Monster statement regarding a trade return involving Joel Edmundson and the Canadiens
Earlier this evening, on the always interesting TSN Insider Trading segment, tipster Chris Johnston revealed a monster piece of information regarding a possible future trade involving Montreal Canadiens defenseman Joel Edmundson.
Johnston revealed what the Habs want (and should get) in a trade involving Edmundson, and it's huge.
"In the trade market, as the trade deadline approaches, in return for a defenseman like Joel Edmundson from the Montreal Canadiens, we should expect Kent Hughes to receive a first round pick and more."

Wow! At that price, it's clear that it could be worth trading Edmundson to a competitive team and a team he could certainly help.
Are you surprised? This is major.
Getting a first round pick and more for Edmundson would be big for the future of the CH organization.
It could really be like the Ben Chiarot deal that was done last season with the Florida Panthers.
Edmundson, 29, is signed at $3.5 million per season until 2024. He has 5 points in 27 games this season.
