As many keen observers have noted, there was plenty of action tonight in the press box at the Bell Centre as the Montreal Canadiens took on the Minnesota Wild.

It's been a theme all season, but once again tonight, the Anaheim Ducks are really interested in the Habs players (and it's escalating).

"We're jabbering here. The Anaheim Ducks are triple represented tonight to watch the game at the Bell Centre. Reports are that the #CH is looking for a right-handed defenseman. The Ducks' right-handed defensemen are:

Klingberg
Shattenkirk
Drysdale
Helleson
Andersson
Strand"

- Etienne Ferland

Intriguing. You can clearly leave out Drysdale, but it's only to illustrate that they have several good right-handers on defense.

"A scout, the director of player personnel and the assistant general manager. That's a whole contingent from Anaheim. (to watch the Habs tonight)"

- Andrew Zadarnowski

The Ducks do have several right-handed backs, they are finishing up their rebuild and they are looking for depth on offense. So there seems to be potential for a possible trade between Montreal and Anaheim.

Do you have a prediction in mind? Clearly, there seems to be some action behind the scenes and there is some smoke.

It's something to watch and keep in mind, especially since the Habs could absolutely use some help driving the power play.
