With cases of COVID-19 spilling over into the NHL, officials have set out some important measures to be followed.
There will be restrictions on team dinners on the road, mask wearing and social distancing. There will be a lot more testing, except on off days.
These measures will be in place until at least January 7.
It seems that the Omicron variant has settled in the locker rooms of NHL teams. This would be the reason why the NHL reacted quickly, before the situation could get even worse.
