NHL waivers: the verdict is in for Alex Nedeljkovic

As we reported yesterday, there was a surprise in the NHL waivers, when goalie Alex Nedeljkovic, who was nominated for NHL rookie of the year (Calder Trophy) in 2021, was available for free.
Imagine, the goalie was among the top three rookies in the entire NHL less than two years ago.
Anyway, the verdict is in.
Alex Nedeljkovic clears waivers. .
Once again, his $3 million a year salary would be at issue.
In his rookie season, 2020-21, Nedeljkovic maintained a 15-5-3 record with the Carolina Hurricanes, a 1.90 GAA and a .932 SV%.
This season with the Detroit Red Wings, he has a 2-4-2 record, a 4.09 GAA and a .880 SV%.
