Nathan MacKinnon and Sidney Crosby are two great friends from the same part of the country. They are also two of the Tim Hortons commercial players when the hockey cards come back every year. And they are also two of the top five players in the National Hockey League. That said, as training camps kick off and the players head to the Winter Olympics, MacKinnon teased fans with a photo of him and Crosby in their Canada jerseys.
The two players have only been on the same team once, at the 2015 IIHF tournament, when MacKinnon was not the player he is today. Mac is considered by many, including me, to be the best player on the planet. So at the next Olympics, he will be one of the headliners on the Canadian team. Who will he play with? No idea at this time, but one thing is set in stone: he will be used on one of the first two units.
In short, the two men met for the Tim Hortons commercials, then instead of wearing their respective jerseys, they would wear the colors of Canada since it is an Olympic year.
