It has been over a month since Geoff Molson decided to dismiss Marc Bergevin and the general manager's chair remains vacant. However, the process should activate itself in the coming days.
With the forced break of activities until January 12 for the Habs, the staff will take the opportunity to meet with potential candidates to replace Marc Bergevin. Among them are the names of Patrick Roy, Mathieu Darche, Marc Denis, Daniel Brière, Kent Hughes, Stéphane Quintal, Émilie Castonguay and Danielle Sauvageau.
According to what is reported by DansLesCoulisses.com, the first interviews should take place this week. However, the process will not stop there. The three to four candidates who made the most impression during the first interview will have to undergo a second interview with the board appointed by Geoff Molson. It is made up of Jeff Gorton (vice-president of hockey operations), Michael Andlauer (one of the team's co-owners) and Bob Gainey (a former player and general manager of the team).
The next executive director is expected to be appointed in mid-January.
Are you looking forward to the next CEO? Who do you think would be the best or the best to replace Marc Bergevin?
