The group led by Nick Suzuki was back on the ice at the Bell Sports Complex in Brossard on Tuesday morning to continue their preparation. His unit is without Cole Caufield, who is on the sidelines to heal an upper body injury. He will be out for about a week, according to Dominique Ducharme.
That being said, in order to replace "Goal" Caufield on the Montreal Canadiens' first unit, Dominique Ducharme transplanted Brendan Gallagher, who is back in the team's environment since yesterday. His return, his smile and his attitude were certainly welcome.
The other combinations were as follows:
Artturi Lehkonen - Ryan Poehling - Laurent Dauphin
Mathieu Perreault - Cédric Paquette - Alex Belzile
Brandon Baddock - Jean-Christophe Beaudin - Lukas Vejdemo
Alexander Romanov - Jeff Petry
Brett Kulak - Gianni Fairbrother
Tobie Bisson - Arber Xhekaj
Xavier Ouellet - Louie Belpedio
Cayden Primeau - Michael McNiven
Note that Sami Niku and Joel Edmundson were not at the practice... However, we all expected to see Edmundson skating with his teammates today, which was probably not the case.
