The Florida Panthers have announced that they have placed defenseman Noah Juulsen on waivers, with the goal of trading him to the AHL. The former first round pick of the Canadiens in 2015 will then be available to the 31 other NHL teams in the next 24 hours.
Remember that Bill Zito had claimed him in the from the Montreal Canadiens last January 11 when they put him on waivers. The Panthers had hoped that the 24-year-old defenseman would establish himself as a full-time NHL player, but in vain.
The Canadiens had high hopes for him once, so might they be tempted to bring him back? He might not be useless for the Laval Rocket, quite the opposite. Juulsen has always had some potential, but due to the industrial quantities of injuries he has suffered in the past, his development has not gone as planned.
He's only 24 years old, maybe Marc Bergevin could be tempted to bring him back in town so he can continue his rise where it all started for him.
