One of the potential candidates for the next CH GM turns 53

This candidate is Stéphane Quintal, a straightforward man who presents himself well in front of the media, who expresses himself well and who possesses natural leadership. The man who turns 53 today has NEVER hidden his desire to land a management position for one of the 32 NHL franchises.
Currently, Quintal is serving in the NHL as Senior Vice President of Player Safety. He holds this position primarily for family reasons, but the timeline he set for himself in 2018 was "two more years"... So, the time has come, hasn't it?
With the current situation with the Habs, namely the status of Marc Bergevin, we have fun sticking names to the general manager position. Yet, there is still one season left for "Berge", even though he has indicated that he wants to continue his work "in an ideal world". It looks like the separation between the CH and him will be inevitable.
It certainly won't happen there, since it's rare for a GM to leave in the middle of a season. If Bergevin leaves, it will happen at the end of the current campaign, and that's when Geoff Molson, who is too quiet right now, will meet with guys like Quintal, Patrick Roy and Vincent Damphousse.
Unless a layoff is in the works?
