As you may have noticed, last night's game and the goal scored by Jesperi Kotkaniemi didn't help the relationship between the Carolina Hurricanes organization and the Montreal Canadiens organization. Another layer has been added to the off-ice rivalry between these two teams with the creation of the "Did The Habs Lose.com" website, which we mentioned last night.
The site, whose primary purpose is to make fun of the CH's results, was even promoted by the Hurricanes on their official Twitter account following their 4-1 win. However, this story took a completely different turn on Friday, as the site in question was bought out by a diehard Tricolore fan!
The latter obviously took advantage of the fact that this site had a limited lifespan to give it a second wind and to return the favor to the Hurricanes by humiliating them with their own creation.
Here is a glimpse of what the website looks like now:
You get the idea... Also, if the Canadiens hadn't bothered to comment on the site's creation, it would be a disservice to the Canes to think they had done the same. The U.S. organization did indeed respond to the change in their site themselves, and they seem to have played along nicely.
Finally, it's also worth mentioning that the Hurricanes did not remove their post promoting the site. So the "Bunch of jerks" are currently encouraging their subscribers to visit a site aimed at insulting their own team. Haha!
