Last week, rumors pointed to some movement in the Jack Eichel case. Number 9 has been desperately waiting for Kevyn Adams to make a trade for quite some time.
Eichel has taken every step possible to get things moving, including hiring Pat Brisson as his agent. Remember that Eichel is awaiting surgery to repair a damaged disc in his neck. An operation that the Sabres have flatly refused.
Maybe that's why teams aren't willing to pay the moon for Eichel. What organization would want to gut their club and its interesting elements to acquire a banged up player? No one would!
That's why Eichel's clan went to great lengths to make this deal happen. Pat Brisson decided to shoot the Sabres organization with medical notes, which confirm that the operation Eichel wants to undergo is safe.
Kevyn Adams is a young, inexperienced general manager, admittedly, he holds his own in a big way. However, it must be said that Eichel's clan is imaginative, in order to hope to make the Sabres staff give in. How long will the Sabres general manager hold out?
