At a press conference earlier today, goaltender Carey Price gave a lot of interesting answers and clarification on a number of issues.
One of the things he revealed was this:
He announced this:
And this:
Also in the category of interesting parts of this press briefing, Price was asked about the infamous incident involving Chris Kreider:
"Many people go back to your incident with Chris Kreider and mention that your knee problems started at that time. [...] Have you been able to identify the source of your knee problems, do you know when it all started?"
Carey then slightly avoided the question and jokingly replied that his knee problems started when he was eight years old. He then mentioned that, generally speaking, it's an extremely demanding position for a body, especially for a goalie in his mid-30s.
The star goalie then revealed that he has had problems with his ankles, hips and back, so he's talking about a big buildup, but he also wouldn't absolve Kreider of any responsibility.
We understand that probably played a role and possibly started a vicious cycle, but Price refuses to publicly point the finger at the Rangers' forward. A gentleman response and an interesting one at that.
