It looks like Kirill Kaprizov has broken the logjam as Robert Thomas signed late Tuesday night and Rasmus Dahlin just did so. Dahlin signed a three-year, six million dollar deal with the Sabres. Like Robert Thomas, he signed a bridge contract for a potential payday in three years.
Dahlin continues to be a mainstay of the Buffalo Sabres' defense, with 23 points, including five goals, in 56 games during the 2021 season. In his first two National Hockey League campaigns, he recorded 44 points in 82 games and 40 in 59.
This is great news for the 21-year-old Swede, who was the first overall pick in the 2018 amateur auction. Though he has to wish Kevyn Adams would take his fingers off his nose by trading Jack Eichel and putting an effective plan in place for the future... For now, Adams has shaken his flock more than reassured them.
