On Saturday night, the Laval Rocket were also in action and were shutout by the Syracuse Crunch 4-0. Cole Caufield was playing a first game with his new team, he did well under the circumstances putting four shots on net, but ended this duel with a minus-2 record.

Rocket head coach Jean-Francois Houle was pleased with Cole Caufield's performance, but the same cannot be said for Mattias Norlinder. The defenseman had been out for a long time, so it's understandable that he wasn't in peak condition for the game.

"It wasn't always obvious for him, but he hadn't played for a long time. I thought he was okay under the circumstances."

Houle remained decent in his comments about Norlinder, but those who watched the game are aware of all the difficulties Norlinder faced. He struggled a lot with the puck, he was hesitant, and then you could tell his confidence level was not up to par.

In the end, the Habs need to give him the time he needs to get his bearings before bringing him to the big club or sending him back to Sweden!
