As you know, last summer, the then captain of the Montreal Canadiens, Shea Weber, was traded to the Vegas Golden Knights for Evgeny Dadonov.
His hefty contract was finally off the books of the CH.
Note that, in any case, last season, Weber was absent from the team's entourage and he was not really involved. In short, he has officially cut all possible ties with Montreal.
Weber has just sold his luxurious home in Candiac.
According to information and as reported by my colleague Keven Mawn, a doctor bought Weber's house for a whopping $3.28 million.
Weber had bought the house for $2.36 million, when he arrived in Montreal in 2016. So he made a nice profit.
Estimated career earnings for Shea Weber: $127,911,419
(according to the excellent CapFriendly resource)
So that means Weber has definitely just said "goodbye" to Montreal, at a time when a certain P.K. Subban seems to want to come back to town more often, to get involved. Interesting.
Remember also that Angela Price recently confided that Carey and his family have (also) the intention to sell their house in Montreal soon.
Clearly, a big page is turning.
