Training camps are slowly getting underway with several young players still on the restricted free agent list. They are unable to find an agreement with their respective teams and some of them could opt for a strike...

The most important players on this list are Rasmus Dahlin, Quinn Hughes, Kirill Kaprizov, Elias Pettersson, Robert Thomas and Brady Tkachuk. Among them are five stars or superstars in the making and one player with good potential, Robert Thomas.

Dahlin is coming off a smokin' 23-point, 56-game campaign, which is a good drop-off for him. This is understandable as there has been a very grey cloud over Buffalo for too long. This one got darker in the last few months...

The young brigadier's clan may be looking elsewhere, but knowing Kevyn Adams (see Jack Eichel's case), he probably has to deal with it "all wrong".

Kaprizov, on the other hand, wants a golden bridge, but the number of years attached to the end seems to be the focal point of these tough negotiations between Bill Guerin and the agents of the 24-year-old Russian phenom.

The dialogue seems to be just as thorny between Brady Tkachuk and the Ottawa Senators. His brother, Matthew, revealed that the two parties seem far from an agreement. OUCH! Tkachuk, who is seen as the next captain of the ship, could be headed for a strike...

The Canucks' two pawns, Hughes and Pettersson, remain rather silent... Although Quinn's brother, Jack, has flogged the Vancouver Canucks in the last few hours, calling them the poorest team in their division.

In short, it's one minute to midnight for these players... the next few hours will be decisive for some of them! Tick tock, tick tock...
