As the Montreal Canadiens played their last preseason game last night, head coach Martin St-Louis gave a big hint on the decision that would have been made concerning Juraj Slafkovsky.
In a press conference after the game, St-Louis took a long time to talk about Slafkovsky and to praise the work of the young Slovakian.
"I thought he played two good games. He's involved and he's comfortable on the ice. I'm really happy with his performances the last two games." - Martin St. Louis
"He did what he had to do and we're satisfied." - Martin St. Louis
The way he was talking, and especially with the injuries to Joel Armia and Mike Hoffman, it really looks like Slafkovsky will, at the very least, start the new season with the Montreal Canadiens.
Kent Hughes is likely to confirm this tomorrow.
Clearly, St. Louis has really enjoyed the recent games of its first overall pick.
Compelling comments that suggest the kid will start the season in Montreal (at least for his nine games).
Stay tuned! For details and full comments from Martin St-Louis :
