Fans of teams currently out of the playoff picture have only one dream, that their team wins the lottery for the next draft. Connor Bedard would indeed be a great prize after a miserable season.
It's not only the fans who want this, but also former players of certain teams, like Teemu Selanne. The latter even recently prepared, as a joke, the locker of the hypothetical future first choice of the Ducks.
Admit that adding Bedard to Mason McTavish, Troy Terry, Trevor Zegras could eventually cause havoc!
To date, according to Tankathon, Anaheim has the second-highest lottery odds in the league at 13.5 percent, behind the Columbus Blue Jackets who have a 25.5 percent chance of getting the first pick.
The CH has a 9.5% chance of getting the ultimate gift when you add their pick (6.5%) to the Florida Panthers' (3%). No doubt those odds will increase with the announcement of Cole Caufield's injury and the presence of the many injured players in the lineup.
