According to information revealed by insider Pierre LeBrun, the Anaheim Ducks have created a committee to help select the next general manager.

This group of individuals will be composed of CEO Michael Schulman, Scott Niedermayer, Paul Kariya, President of Business Operations Aaron Teats and franchise owners Henry and Susan Samueli.

Jeff Salomon has been the interim general manager since Bob Murray stepped down on November 10.

Despite the means taken by the Ducks, they could still wait until the off-season to select the next GM.

They have literally "copied and pasted" the Montreal Canadiens' hiring methods. The Montreal organization is currently going through the same process to determine who will be Jeff Gorton's next dance partner.

Could we see Marc Bergevin being mentioned among the candidates for the Ducks' GM title? With the experience he has gained over the past nine years, it is clear that he could be considered. Also, "Big Marc" is a good friend of former GM Bob Murray, which could be used to his advantage. Murray might have good words for his French speaking friend. This is all speculation, but it would make sense.
