With training camps just getting underway in the National Hockey League, we're keeping a close eye on the various trio combinations, and some are catching our eye.
In particular, the Carolina Hurricanes:
Also, there is the former CH, Artturi Lehkonen, who really gets a golden opportunity to start the camp of his team.
After being a hero to his new team in the most recent playoffs, Lehkonen gets a huge promotion:
Artturi Lehkonen - Nathan MacKinnon - Mikko Rantanen
Here's the Avalanche's current first trio to start camp, as reported by Peter Baugh (Colorado reporter). It looks promising for Lehkonen, who could really rack up a lot of points, if he can hold onto that position.
You can guess that this has fans reacting very positively, because Lehkonen is likely to be very successful, and we love it. He's such an easy player to like and love.
Lehkonen, 27, has 19 goals and 19 assists for 38 points in 74 games with the Canadiens and Avalanche in 2021-2022.
Rantanen, 25, had 92 points in 75 games last season.
MacKinnon, 27, had 88 points in 65 games last season.
It's safe to say that "Lehky's" new trio is quite productive. In fact, Lehkonen is probably on the best line in the National Hockey League right now. Stay tuned!
