According to information from the excellent Jimmy Murphy of Montreal Hockey Now, four National Hockey League organizations are seriously interested in hiring Mark Recchi to their coaching staffs.

Those four interested clubs are: the Boston Bruins, the Philadelphia Flyers, the Dallas Stars, and finally, the Montreal Canadiens (get this).

As reported by our colleagues at Marqueur.com, one of the things that Recchi could do is possibly come in and help revive the Montreal power play, which has really not been a strong point this season and it has hurt.

It will be really interesting to watch and he could really be an interesting addition, alongside the existing group and alongside Martin St-Louis.

"A source confirms to us that he (Recchi) is on their (CH) radar."

Let's not forget Alex Burrows, as well. There's no indication that his position is in jeopardy.

And speaking of Martin St-Louis, before hiring another coach, it would be nice to finally settle the contract of Martin St-Louis, who is still without a contract for next season.

The CH still hasn't officially announced anything in this sense, but if we all know that it's coming.

Recchi played with the Habs from 1994 to 1998. He was until recently an assistant to Lindy Ruff with the New Jersey Devils and he got a lot of experience (behind the bench) with the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Would you like that as a hire?
