The Canadiens have just cut seven players from camp including one big surprise

In the last few seconds, the Montreal Canadiens organization has cut seven players:
"MONTREAL -- Canadiens general manager Kent Hughes announced Tuesday that the team has cut five forwards, one defenseman and one goalie, for a total of seven players.
The players will report to the Laval Rocket's training camp, which began on Sunday, October 2.
They will be loaned to the Laval Rocket on an NHL contract:
Filip Mesar and Mattias Norlinder
Waived by the Canadiens :
Alex Belzile, Anthony Richard and Mitchell Stephens
Released from the Canadiens training camp, will join the Rocket camp:
Kevin Poulin and Xavier Simoneau"
- Montreal Canadiens You do notice that the 2022 first round pick, the excellent Filip Mesar, has been sent to the Laval Rocket (AHL) for the time being, and not to the juniors.
Mesar has had quite a camp with the CH.
